Stump the Christians #2

Where in the Bible does it say that raping someone is wrong?

[Please remember: you can rape someone to whom you are married.]

  1. There are plenty of cases where rape happens in the Bible and it is never painted in a friendly light. The consequences of rape in Mosaic Law was that the offender was either stoned or had to marry the girl, depending on the marital status of the victim. The consequences of raping a women in a conquered land required letting her mourn for a month and then letting her go if she chose to leave.

Vox Day, a man much wiser than myself, has some great blog posts and articles on the topic:

    The morality of rape

    There is no "marital rape"

    Mailvox: force and marital rape

  2. ... there's no such thing as marital rape...

Yeah, good luck with that. I'm guessing you're single.

  3. Vox thinks date rape isn't rape...

Okay, well then I'm going to drug Vox, murder him, and call it date murder. Then it'll be just fine, right?

  4. Also, raping someone and then her having to marry you...

Seriously, I don't even know how to explain how fucking retarded you are. There aren't words to convey how fucked up your brain must be to buy this bullshit. Please castrate yourself, for the good of humanity.

  5. The guy said himself that he's not as wise as Vox Day, so any conceivable insults are justified, even aside from his incoherently pathetic comment.

  6. Oh I got that impression, I just... I mean, can you honestly believe this shit? Really? Date rape, forcing your wife to have sex with you, believing it's okay to force yourself on a woman in a city you're invading...

Seriously... I think my head is going to explode.

And these people think anarchy will be paradise... and we have anarchist contributors who think this is perfectly acceptable. People are fucking retarded.

  9. Also remember, that much of that was in the Levitical Law, which we "Christians" don't follow- the Jews do. We Christians are not under the Law (contained in the Torah) but rather under the grace that Jesus brought when he paid the penalty and price for our sins and summarily rose again. ;)

  10. Why are you not under the Law in the Torah anymore? When did Jesus say, "Oh yeah guys, disregard all those weird old laws my Dad made up." Didn't he actually say the opposite in Matthew 5:18? "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

  11. Hey swiftfoxmark2, please give the cite for your claim that the Bible says that after the conquered woman mourned for a month she could leave if she wanted. If you are referring to Deut. 21:13 you only let her go if she wanted "if she displeased you." In other words, if you liked her and wanted to keep her, she had to stay no matter what she wanted.

  12. Also, if the Torah's Law is all wrong, why are atheists having to fight tooth and nail to prevent 10 Commandment monuments from being built with public money on government land?
