FBI Wants to Wiretap Internet

The FBI has urged members of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security to make it easier for authorities to eavesdrop and wiretap internet communications. CNET's Declan McCullagh, explains.


  1. Isn't this kinda like asking today for permission to eat a cake, when you ate it last week?

  2. Pretty much. plus corporation aren't going to give up strong encryption, or put their keys in escrow for a government known to have information leaks.

    The corps aren't behind it, so it's probably not going to happen.
