Hypocrisy On Egypt

Of course world leaders, including the U.S. Crook-in-Chief Obama, are total hypocrites. Who does not believe that if this uprising against the oppression supported by the United States for decades had not occurred, Mubarak would continue to have been praised by Obama and other heads of government as a great friend and ally? As Vice Criminal Joe Biden put it: "Mubarak has been an ally of ours in a number of things. And he’s been very responsible on, relative to geopolitical interest in the region, the Middle East peace efforts; the actions Egypt has taken relative to normalizing relationship with – with Israel. … I would not refer to him as a dictator."

Once again the world hypocrisy knows no bounds. Less than 24 hours after the Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak and his evil henchman Omar Suleiman step down from power. The worlds leaders nervously start congratulating the Egyptian people for being such good democratic protesters. The absolute absurdity of the worlds leaders for speaking out both sides of their mouths is incredible. These are the same world leaders that have funded, praised, sponsored, hosted, endorsed, protected and played late night poker with Hosni Mubarak for the last 30+ years. The same world leaders who turned their backs on the Egyptian people as they knew they were being oppressed, tortured and even killed for the last full generation.

We can only hope that the Egyptian people will recognize the hypocrisy and not allow their political powers to be co-opted by the world leaders. They could even go one step further and create a fully voluntary society and show the rest of the world what real freedom looks like.

Egyptians get slap in the face after revolution

The above is from The World According To Michael.

And on that last paragraph, in the same spirit were these comments by the great Lew Rockwell:

Have the Egyptians exchanged totalitarian rule by Mubarak for totalitarian rule by Mubarak’s handpicked generals? Now is the time for the next step: Abolish the army, which exists only to oppress the people and not for make-believe defense. Run those US tanks into the Red Sea, crash those US fighters into the desert, send all the rich, corrupt generals to live with Mube in his beachfront palace. How magnificent for economic growth, for freedom, for civilization to demilitarize. Egyptians. extend your magnificent non-violence domestically and internationally. Egypt, copy Costa Rica; get rid of the parasite military: non-violently, of course. Choose freedom. Choose peace.- The Army Is a Force for Evil
