No Longer A Virgin and Without A Booty

Bishops have modernized the text in the newest edition of the New American Bible. "Booty" and "virgin" are just two terms that didn't make it.



The Catholic English bible translation, The New American Bible (first published in 1970) has been revised.

Released on March 9, 2011, the New American Bible, Revised Edition (NABRE) is the culmination of nearly 20 years of work by a group of nearly 100 scholars and theologians, including bishops, revisers and editors.
