Question of the Day: Is the Dollar Going to Collapse?

In the state of Utah, they don't seem too confident that the dollar is going survive all the shenanigans and money printing of Zimbabwe Ben:

Lawmakers in the US state of Utah have passed a bill that will make gold as well as silver coins accepted legal tender in the state. The bill awaits the signature of the state’s governor. Proponents of the law have argued that it’s urgently needed in order to hedge the state´s finances against the continuing erosion of the dollar. The legislation is supported by economists and market analysts.-Utah passes bill to make gold and silver legal tender

Actions like those in Utah could also be the precursors to full scale rebellion by the states, starting with more and more nullification and, if things get really, really bad, perhaps even secession (the course that should eventually be taken anyway).

The US Dollar's inflationary death spiral continues. We've now taken out the 2010 low leaving only two more lines of support before we're in completely uncharted territory.

At its current rate of collapse, the US Dollar will do this within the next 3-4 months. This means the greenback will break into a new all-time lows by 2H11, which will precipitate the coming inflationary collapse.-The Dollar Will Collapse Within 3-4 Months

  1. It's already happening! By the time most people realize it, that's when The Dollar Collapse has formally hit. Watch food prices. Watch gasoline prices. See the recording industry claim trillions in damages from filesharing -- a sign that they're sure it's collapsing and they want their last extortion bid.

To Corporate America, it's collapsing hard. We're not seeing it down in the trenches except at the gas pumps, the grocery. Watch it grow.
