If pharmaceutical companies were given a guaranteed monopoly on the production of all recreational drugs, not just cannabis, they would be legal... though I'm not sure if it would be worth it. Which would be more difficult, I wonder: legalizing drugs or wrestling control of them out of the hands of corporations? It would be interesting to find out...
