Defense Secretary Robert Gates...tried to spin Americans on the "progress" of the Afghanistan War. Despite his assertions, the facts are clear: insurgent attacks jumped 64 percent this year; more civilians died than any prior year of the conflict; and the "security bubbles" talked about in Helmand and Kandahar provinces situated in increasingly violent parts of the country.
The war isn't making us safer, and it's not worth the cost. Join us on March 12 as Rethinkers across the country and around the world get together to rethink the cost of this war.
