A Second American Revolution?

The Internet is a large-scale version of the "Committees of Correspondence" that led to the first American Revolution — and with Washington's failings now so obvious and awful, it may lead to another.

People are asking, "Is the government doing us more harm than good? Should we change what it does and the way it does it?"

Pruning the power of government begins with the imperial presidency.

Too many overreaching laws give the president too much discretion to make too many open-ended rules controlling too many aspects of our lives. There's no end to the harm an out-of-control president can do.

Will Washington's Failures Lead To Second American Revolution?

  1. Agreed! It's time for the states to reclaim the power the Constitution provided them. That will start when we tell the Fed Gov to stop taxing us so much, so they can't bribe the states with money to do what the Fed Gov wants them to. Some states are starting to see the light - we can only hope we put enough people in place at the state gov level that will continue the process to restore state autonomy.

  2. Besides going to war, what's one thing the president can do that is overreaching? And if you choose to focus on the fuction of Commander in Chief, how would you fix the problem?

  3. Okay, now I know you're just a conservative if you post links to such utter bullshit as this:

Bill Clinton lowered the culture, moral tone and strength of the nation — and left America vulnerable to attack. When it came, George W. Bush stood up for America, albeit sometimes clumsily.

    What's it like being a right-wing lapdog?

Yeah, that's why so many conservatives have stopped following this blog after one of my posts pissed them off.

  6. You're telling me you think Bill Clinton screwed over America, and not in any tangible foreign policy way, but in morality and culture...?

I can't find any level headed, non-right wing nut who thinks we need a revolution. You're aligning yourself with people who are just throwing a hissy fit over Obama being elected, people who make ridiculous claims with nothing to back them up.

There's plenty of reasons to dislike Obama, but what you linked to did not address any of them. Like most bullshit from the right-wing, it's all stuff that the president has nothing to do with. It's an indictment of Congress to criticize anything but the continuation of the wars, which I would bet my left nut this crazy nut bag you linked to supports. Obama has little power beyond the ability to bring the troops home.

  7. Oh, and right wingers stop following you because they tune out anyone who says anything bad about the military. Kudos for sticking it to the baby killers.
