I'm off to New York City (Manhattan, specifically) early tomorrow morning and won't be back for a week. I won't lie--I'm really looking forward to this ;)
Have a great trip, Cork! I can understand your looking forward to going there. I've never been to New York, but it just might be the one city in the U.S. I really, really want to visit someday.
Of course, as always, we'll look forward to your return.
New York is so... I'll go with expensive (the nicest thing I can say about the place). Hope you have fun, though I'm sure you will (even though I wouldn't; New York is great, New Yorkers not so much).
What a week for trips. I'm in Charlottesville, VA for the weekend. Drove through DC, saw the sights (including the Christmas Tree). Plan to make my way over to Monticello tomorrow to check out the digs of our only Architect President. Pics when I get back Monday.
SE: Now's the time, since the last three times I went the Statue of Liberty was off-limits. Pretty sure they got that ever-popular tourist trap operating again. Not sure if you can go up to the torch or not, though.
