When does carbon dioxide become a pollutant?

Why is carbon dioxide, a life sustaining compound, considered pollution and how do scientists know that humans are responsible for the increasing levels of CO2 in the atmosphere and global warming?- CO2 Pollution and Global Warming

  1. *sigh*

All animals produce CO2 when we exhale, and plants use it to survive, so it's only "life sustaining" if you're a plant. When you say stuff like that, it's hard to take you seriously, because it's such an elementary mistake.

The simple fact is that there is more CO2 and it's clearly there due to industrialized processes. It's not like there's more animals breathing more CO2, in fact there are less. I don't think it's going to end the world, and I know for a fact that no one is going to stop burning stuff. Instead, we should be developing our technology while keeping in mind the fact that we have to live in the same biosphere that we dump our waste (solids, liquids, and gases).

Please! Where would we be without plants.

    Like I give a shit.

  3. The plants aren't going to run out of CO2 if we use more efficient production methods.

I know you don't care, I'm just saying maybe it would make your argument stronger if you sounded like you didn't just study for econ during chemistry.
