I must apologize for my conspicuous lack of blogging lately. It's mostly because I've been horribly, excruciatingly sick. I slept for about 20 hours earlier this week--then I woke up, watched Child's Play 2 (I have a massive DVD collection of campy horror movies) and barely made it to the end before falling asleep again. It wasn't just the soft sound of the humidifier lulling me back to sleep but the fact that I was physically incapable of staying awake for 90 mins to watch a movie in bed!
Right now I think I'm better, thanks to the antibiotics the doc pumped me up with. I can at least make the 2 foot journey from my bed to the computer, which I reckon is an accomplishment. The boss at my throwaway part-time interim job didn't even believe I was sick (anyone who ever calls in sick MUST be lying!). Oh how I wish it was all a lie.

I may not have an actual paying job--I graduated from college just last year--but I'm doing three marketing internships at once (they're all part time). My resume's going to look friggin' sweet. And the economy isn't going to recover any time soon anyway.
I just hope the state doesn't succeed in its ridiculous plan to crack down on internships, or I'm kind of SOL.

I'm finally back!

Guess who's back?
Back again?
Cork is back.
Statists cringe!
My laptop is finally, finally fixed after what seemed like an eternity. Over the last few weeks I:
-Went on a ridiculously spontaneous road trip adventure to Las Vegas
-Looked in vain for a job
-Became a volunteer in my community (amazingly, I did so without the government sticking a gun in my face--what a concept, huh?)
-Cringed as Barack Obama obliterated what remained of our health care system
-Cringed again as the blood-thirsty Obama called to murder innocent Iranians for their leaders' alleged "crimes" (ie, refusal to obey the nonsensical demands of the US and its allies).
But enough with the updates. Time to get moving again!

Back from Manhattan...with a vengeance!

I just returned from my trip to New York City, and man oh man was it great. My friend and I went to see the Met Museum, the Guggenheim Museum, the Museum of Sex, the empire state building, the statue of liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, NBC studios, Wall Street and Ground Zero, a Knicks game at Madison Square Gardens (thank goodness for ticket scalpers) and just about everything else you could possibly think of. Heck, we even got in to see Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. (It was the Rachel Maddow episode, which you can watch here if you're bored--not sure if you'll be able to spot me in the audience ;). Good times!
This has been one of my biggest "vacation" years ever. Since May, I've gone to Britain, France, Miami, India and New York City. Come to think of it, maybe it's time to finally take a friggin' break from travelling.

I'm off to New York City (Manhattan, specifically) early tomorrow morning and won't be back for a week. I won't lie--I'm really looking forward to this ;)
So...see you all in a week!

My mediocre return hath come

I haven't been posting much recently, mostly because none of my pals had to work during Thanksgiving week--opening the door for all kinds of shenanigans (frankly, it's been an entire week since I crashed at my own place, which is ridiculous). I needed a week of complete idiocy and I got it. Now I can go back to doing what I love best: complaining about stuff through the blogosphere!

On my lack of posts

I haven't been posting much lately, mostly because I've accepted a new job. Of course, the second I decided to take it several other employers decided to contact me, complicating things. If I get a better offer I suppose I can just switch.
Later this week I'm going to India (to visit my mom), where I'll stay for about 10 days. So it might be a little while before I post again. Just thought I'd give y'all a heads-up!

Where Have I Been?

I've been around, my friends, just not here. The air conditioner was finally fixed, but then I moved, away, away far, sort of anyway. Out of state. But my computer has remained here. Thus I write today, as I have traveled back here for the weekend to write for you and tell you that more is to come, soon.
