Just wanted to put something up for today, October 9, John Lennon's birthday. He would have turned 70 today.
The next video is via the LRC Blog. Here, on the Dick Cavett show, Lennon says he doesn't believe the hype about "overpopulation", saying it's just a distraction put out by government to take our minds away from important subjects, like the empire's wars:
"It's all right for us all living saying 'oh, there's enough of us so we won't have anymore, don't let anybody else live'. I don't believe in that. I think we've got enough food and money to feed everybody...I'm sure there's enough room for us."
War is big business. They like war because it keeps them fat and happy and I'm anti-war, so they're trying to keep me out...
