That's right, your money, all of it (hey, is there any legal limit on the amount they can vote to take away from you?) belongs to your masters in government. When a man or woman does not own the fruits of their own labor, they are a slave. Criminal, thieving scumbag Nutter should be behind bars for grand theft and extortion, but instead the powerless peons are threatened with jail for trying to keep what they actually earned by the sweat of their brow.
Nutter says the city collected over $40 million and another $20 million for the schools during the 54 day amnesty program, but there is close to $500 million still owed. Revenue Commissioner Keith Richardson says the city will step up its collection efforts.
"We're working with the District Attorney's office to prosecute those taxpayers who owe and that can result in up to seven years imprisonment."-Philadelphia threatens jail for tax deadbeats
Unlike with private debts, the "debts" you "owe" to the state can land you in prison if unpaid. If you resist and decide to defend yourself, the state will then send in its clown-costumed armed thugs (they call them Law Enforcement) and you'll most likely be shot down like a dog, because the state, you see, has a "legal" monopoly on the use of force (which makes it a different situation than a confrontation with armed criminals where you have a fighting chance if you are also armed) and they'll send in a whole army if that's what it takes to get you.
And you thought you lived in "The Land of the Free"!
I'm completely at a loss as to what's wrong with punishing people for not paying their taxes, though your "shot down like a dog" stuff was hilarious comic relief.ReplyDelete
Yes, Ginx, it's always a riot when the state commits murder.ReplyDelete
Just keep repeating to yourself "might makes right" and you won't ever have to actually think or provide any real arguments for statism.
They didn't murder anyone outside of your own mind, you psychotic doom-wisher.ReplyDelete
You know what? I live in Philly, and I think you should shut your fuckin' face. It's expensive to park, it's expensive to drive on the toll highways, it's expensive to take an ambulance ride 4 blocks (about $800). It is this way because dead beats want a free ride.
They're jailing people, but I would rather your scenario. Let's take tax evaders out back and shoot them between the eyes, and charge the bullet to their family.

Spoken like a true Stalinist, but what else should I have expected from someone who approves of theft and murder.
They didn't murder anyone outside of your own mind, you psychotic doom-wisher.
I'm sure the cops of Philly have murdered plenty of people, but I was using a hypothetical in this case, you moron. The state reserves the right to use deadly force if you refuse to comply with its demands, that's a simple fact.
Now go back to worshiping in front of your portrait of Uncle Joe.
Technically charging for the bullet is more of a Mao thing, not Stalin. I can't say I can expect more from someone who was probably educated in a public school, which you probably now feel you shouldn't have to pay for.ReplyDelete
Let me get this straight... you're honestly saying tax evaders are just defending their money?
And who is Uncle Joe?
OOOOOOOH Joseph Stalin. I forgot you muddled the commie reference. Well, what more can we expect from two products of American education but an error riddled exchange of venomous emotional drivel...ReplyDelete

Your tax dollars at work!

Since it is their money, yes. It's certainly not the state's money, unless you take the state's claim that it owns everything in the geographical territory it occupies, seriously. I, however, don't take the arbitrary claims of criminal organizations seriously.
