Harold Camping Missing, Atheists Mock "Rapture" By Blowing Up Human-shaped Balloons and Releasing Them Into The Sky

Just thought I'd acknowledge this piece from the International Business Times:

Repeated attempts by IBTimes to gain information on the whereabouts of Camping failed even as one of his followers at the Family Radio headquarter threatened to assault one IBTimes reporter as he approached him to ask some questions.

The person who tried to assault the IBTimes reporter looked visibly dejected and disturbed. “I want to be left alone,” the person told the IBTimes reporter. Was it because it was becoming clear that Camping’s prediction is going to fail?

Camping was not also found in his home in Alameda, CA. The radio evangelist had earlier said that he would be watching TV and listening to the radio at the appointed time.

Where is Harold Camping? Will he be able to muster the courage and acknowledge before the public that his prediction was false, or will he forever remain in hiding?-Failed May 21, 2011 Doomsday prophet Harold Camping still missing, followers devastated

There are some photos of Family Radio headquarters at the above article, too. Take a look at the last couple of those. Some dejected-looking Camping true believers are standing around, perhaps waiting for some word from the false prophet.

On Saturday morning, Espinoza, 60, received a phone call from her father, Harold Camping, the 89-year-old Oakland preacher who has spent some $100 million — and countless hours on his radio and TV show — announcing May 21 as Judgment Day. "He just said, 'I'm a little bewildered that it didn't happen, but it's still May 21 [in the United States],'" Espinoza said, standing in the doorway of her Alameda home. "It's going to be May 21 from now until midnight."

...

By late afternoon, a small crowd had gathered in front of Camping's Oakland headquarters. There were atheists blowing up balloons in human form, which were released into the sky just after 6 p.m. in a mockery of the rapture. Someone played a CD of "The End" by the Doors, amid much laughter.-In the end, rapture believers weren't going anywhere
