While Protesters Poked Fun At Harold Camping In Oakland, Robert Fitzpatrick In New York Was Left Wondering What Went Wrong

Skeptics gather outside Harold Camping's Family Radio Network headquarters in Oakland, California to mock the evangelical broadcaster's claim that the world would come to an end on May 21st, 2011.




The second video in this post, below, follows Camping true believer Robert Fitzpatrick as he prepares for and then waits for the rapture. Camping may deserve all the ridicule and vitriol he gets, but I almost cried and did feel sorry for Mr. Fitzpatrick, while watching this:

The "prophets" may indeed deserve ridicule, but their gullible followers don't always deserve to share in that scorn.
