ive always been under the impression that climate change is a natural course, no matter what we do. i think the whole green revolution is just to make some money. which in the end may not be a bad thing, stimulating the economy with something good for the environment, but a lot of poeple take it way too far.
This would make sense... if the people claiming it's happening were the ones who would profit. It's the energy companies who are part of the problem who stand to gain anything.
You also realize that climate scientists who claim it's not happening get paid quite a bit of money by those same energy companies, who don't want to bother with the initial investments necessary for cleaner or renewable energy... right?
It's mind boggling how easily duped people are. Why would the overwhelming majority of climate scientists lie, to what end? To get grant money that pales in comparison to industry handouts for denial?

Let me get this straight... you honestly believe that every single climate change advocate, the thousands the world over, across several national borders and from hundreds of different institutions of higher education, are all conspiring against the handful of scientists paid by the fossil fuels industry?

Some may see it as a way to gain more government control over corporations, or because they hate fossil fuels and believe humans are destroying the planet. And no, not all of the "environmentalists" are just "liberals" who want a sustainable future. Some are radicals who think humans are a plague and that we should go back to a pre-technological time, when the vast majority lived in poverty and died young!
I meant to say pre-industrial. And I'm not loathe to admit anything...I'm just skeptical, which is what I thought the title of this blog implied we should be.

Like ant-smoking Nazis lying about the dangers of second-hand smoke? Gosh, why would they do that? Evolution? How about Piltdown Man? People lie or exaggerate to advance agendas all the time, sometimes believing that it serves a greater good if it persuades people of the truth of their position (smoking is harmful and shouldn't be encouraged, evolution is true).
