They DO want to come and "kill us." My cousin works for an anti-money laundering division in Washington (I forget what) specifically targeting terrorists. It's a fact. My friend works for the RCMP here in Canada and you can't get more explicit than the stuff he's privy too.
I don't know why this is downplayed.
As Giuliani, all I know is I used to go to NYC before and after his mayorality. Before, NYC was a scary, seedy place. They would warn tourists where and where not to go.
After him, the place was so much more "free" and enjoyable.
I don't know how he did it or if it was circumstance but he cleaned up that city. I'm not a New Yorker but my perception was that. Maybe a New Yorker sees it differently.
