How Long...?

Maybe this will be a new feature, who knows. Here's the idea: watch the video below for as long as you can, then comment with how long you were able to watch, and feel free to even add your reaction.

    Catchy.

  2. Actually, this song is the perfect anthem for all statists and pro-government types.

Obey the TSA when you're at the airport, because they'll know what's best to protect you from terrorists. Yes, just obey, and everything will be okay!

Obey the Border Patrol when they stop you within your own country at one of their stupid, unconstitutional checkpoints, cause the government knows what's best...it will be okay, just obey!

Obey the IRS, cause the government knows better than you how to spend your money. It will be okay, cause Bret "Ginx" Alan will show us the way! Higher taxes are good, just obey!

I've got lots more, but I'll stop (unless I hear an order to continue, which of course, I'll obey).

Slaves, obey your Southern Confederate masters.

You really want to make this personal?

  4. You do want higher income taxes, don't you, Bret?

  5. I don't want human slavery...but unlike you, I don't want it in any form.

  6. For the life of me, I can't understand how anyone would or could defend taking 40% of someone's income. We're not talking rich here either, nor do I think taxing the rich into oblivion will make it better for the middle class. Most in the MC aspire for more and want to be rich.

And then there's the issue of all the little hidden taxes we pay on a daily basis.

Granted, in some cases credits and tax deductibility helps us recoup but I still find we're taxed enough these days.

We used to offset that with cash transactions to bring in some sanity but even that the government is cracking down on with all these non-cash type machines going into traditional cash businesses.

But that's me. I could be wrong.

Of course I never said any such thing. Bret, you're a broken record! There are two different issues involved; believing states have a right to secede, and the issue of slavery.

Perhaps it's a little too deep for your brain to comprehend, but believing the slaughter of hundreds of thousands caused by Lincoln's war was unnecessary to end slavery is supported by the history and actual facts.

  8. Oh I know, you just talk about "wage slavery" as being worthy of rebelling against the government out of one side of your mouth while the other praises a slave owning nation for fighting for their right to own people.

I'm all for ending wage slavery. It's not right that people work two, three or four jobs so that they can drive a car they don't own from a home they rent to do work they hate. A person who works hard ought to get ahead in life, not be condemned to living paycheck to paycheck, one minor error away from complete calamity at every moment.

If only there was some organization in place that had the power to stop the wealthy from treating us like this... oh well. I'm sure since people can't organize to do the right thing under Democracy, we'll be able to run things much better in anarchy. I'm sure the nobility won't completely take over and take the last step from wage slavery to actual slavery: chains. Wait, no, this is the 21st century. I'm guessing tracking chips.

The only reason I fear the government at all is because it's in the pocket of the nobility, the real enemy.

  9. I'm not following Bret. Why is it the fault of the rich for a person's lot? At least, that's how you present it.

The wealthy didn't prevent me from getting off my ass, rack up business debt to start my own business in order to improve my life.

People work paycheck to paycheck (can't run their affairs, laziness, bad luck, happen to be in a dying industry etc.)for a myriad of reasons and it doesn't all add up to blaming the rich. It just doesn't. Yeah, it's not "right" but unless you flat out flatten the playing field by totally controlling, well, life, that's how it's gonna be.

  10. Why is it the fault of the rich for a person's lot?

Why is it the fault of those who make pay decisions on what their underlings make? Really?

The wealthy didn't prevent me from getting off my ass, rack up business debt to start my own business in order to improve my life.

And those who are in debt, or any of the millions who are bankrupted by medical costs, or those who don't have collateral... or are just simply anything but an over-priviliged, short sighted, white male cunts... what about the unclean masses? It's up to us to make them pull themselves up by their boot straps while barefoot? Ha, silly niggers... look at them struggle, like pouring water on an ant hill... *contented sigh*

The disparity is huge in America. A concentrated few nobles hold an obscene majority of the wealth, while the majority live paycheck to paycheck. You can admit it's not right, yet your lack the balls to stand up to the rich, and I can't blame you.

It's easy to take the pussy's way out and just live the lottery dream that you will one day hit it big and be one of the lucky ones, since standing up to those who actually hold the power would mean acknowledging that our oppressors aren't elected, their daddies just sold stuff really well.

I hope you really don't truly believe this is a legitimate question. If so, clearly you've never had to determine a salary for someone.

Business owners don't have as much power as you seem to assert. Many factors contribute to that including market forces (the elasticity of a labor force) and government regulations, business debt obligations - to name three I've ran into.
