Jesse Ventura: We Need A Revolution

To The Ruling Class,

You control our world. You’ve poisoned the air we breathe, contaminated the water we drink, and copyrighted the food we eat. We fight in your wars, die for your causes, and sacrifice our freedoms to protect you. You’ve liquidated our savings, destroyed our middle class, and used our tax dollars to bailout your unending greed. We are slaves to your corporations, zombies to your airwaves, servants to your decadence. You’ve stolen our elections, assassinated our leaders, and abolished our basic rights as human beings. You own our property, shipped away our jobs, and shredded our unions. You’ve profited off of disaster, destabilized our currencies, and raised our cost of living. You’ve monopolized our freedom, stripped away our education, and have almost extinguished our flame. We are hit… we are bleeding… but we ain’t got time to bleed. We will bring the giants to their knees and you will witness our revolution!

Sincerely, The Serfs. (A Letter To The Ruling Class)

  1. Seems like the same tired shit to me... old men telling young men to fight and die. No thanks.

The far leftist is against a revolution? I think Jesse is talking about peaceful revolution. Still, your comment would indicate that you really are just a slacktivist

  3. I've been to 7 protests since January (including one last week). I write original political material and send hand written-letters to my representative on the 1st of every month. What have you done? Copy and pasted?

Learned that these things you do achieve nothing, because your representative throws away your letters, your audience ignores your original "political" material (which I hope is better in quality than your posts here), and "protests" never have achieved a single thing in American history.

But they sure can add up to create an Image that you can talk about and project as if you were a serious Mover and Shaker!

  5. I'm fairly certain this is the first time I ever mentioned doing any of those things here and I only mention it because I was goaded, not because I think I'm a "Mover and Shaker" or because I think I'm so great that I need to tell people what I do or project an "Image" of anything. Any particular reason you capitalized those, or are you just retarded?

And actually, I get replies from my representative from time to time, and sometimes they aren't even form letters (after reading a lot of them, you can spot the difference pretty quickly).

I guess you can convince yourself that protests never achieved anything... and you can stay home and just criticize other people for trying to do something. As long as you can make yourself feel superior by doing nothing, that's the important thing, right?
