Actually, there is good stuff being tossed out all the time and just thrown away as garbage, what a waste! I'll have a more detailed approach to this subject in another post I'm planning...now get out there and dive!
I know a lot of people who dumpster dive, and they said lately that they have to leave affluent areas and go to grocery stores in poor neighborhoods, because stores in rich areas have started compacting their trash or even putting padlocks on the dumpsters.
ReplyDeleteYeah. I have a similar problem out this way...they have compactors right out the back of the store, and they destroy everything. Wasteful.
ReplyDeleteI've actually done a lot of dumpster diving in my time. Some of the things that people chuck away are disgusting. My local Tesco Express is my favourite. So much unopened waste and you only have to climb over a wooden fence to get to it late at night. I think I would have starved to death at one point in my life if it wasn't for Tesco Express.
