One of LulzSec's last notable attacks was against Arizona's Department of Public Safety as their way of protesting the state's "papers please" immigration law. From this leak we learned that cops are very well aware of police monitoring apps that have been popping up on smart phones. Document labeled "Law Enforcement Sensitive" specifically tells cops to look at an arrestee's cell phone to see if they have any apps that 'target' the police.
