How tyranny begins

America must not and will not become like the seduced German people in 1933. We will not stand by and watch Obama turn our country into Frankenstein’s laboratory, shredding our constitution, bill of rights and freedom as Hitler did with his country.

Tyrants and Dictators are predictably similar in how they take over. They ride in as the savior of change and hope. They offer health care, jobs for all, a refreshed national identity and protection from danger and harm….that is danger and harm they usually create to blame on enemies… know those groups who didn’t vote for them. The rope circles around the seduced neck of the people only after the dictator bribes his way in or gets voted in.

Read the rest here.

  1. There is one key difference between then and now. Between Hitler, Stalin, Mao, etc. and that's that we live in a representative democracy whereas those dictators took over monarchies and the like. There is no comparison to Obama and dare I say W.

  2. representative democracy

I needed a good laugh this morning. Thanks!

  3. We are just one "pen stroke" away from becoming, in effect, a dictatorship. All it'll take is a contrived crisis and Obama signing an executive order to "suspend" elections until "calm is restored". Be very weary folks, the storm has yet to hit and we're in scary, scary times! God Bless America!

  4. Hitler was elected in a free and open democratic process.

The thing we ought to be watching for is hopelessness. People without hope tend to buy into the first pleasant sounding idea presented to them. From "Hope" itself to silly ideas of individualist autonomy, it's not like democracy can save us from the naive hopes of voters or the zealous power grabs of politicians and corporations.
