Frappuccino With A Cinnamon Gun

Starbucks refuses to cave to the anti-gun nuts. Dale Welch walked into a Starbucks with his gun at his side and ordered his coffee and cinnamon bun. Said Welch: "I don't know of anybody who would provide me with defense other than myself, so I routinely as a way of life carry a weapon — and that extends to my coffee shops".

Even in some "open carry" states, businesses are allowed to ban guns in their stores. And some have, creating political confrontations with gun owners. But Starbucks, the largest chain targeted, has refused to take the bait, saying in a statement this month that it follows state and local laws and has its own safety measures in its stores.

"Starbucks is a special target because it's from the hippie West Coast, and a lot of dedicated consumers who pay $4 for coffee have expectations that Starbucks would ban guns. And here they aren't," said John Bruce, a political science professor at the University of Mississippi who is an expert in gun policy.

  1. No offense, but I've pointed out countless times that businesses do not have to respect the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. Privatization is just the bullshit attempt of little kings to enact their will, in spite of democracy.

Businesses can search you without warrant upon entering their building. Businesses can detain you without arrest or due process (sometimes for hours before they're satisfied). Businesses censor. Businesses push religion.

I will never understand why you trust the market or the little Machiavellis who run it...

  2. Also, I suspect that gun-wielding faggot brings a gun to try to make up for the fruity coffee he drinks. Probably a member of the Pink Pistols...

Ginx, you sound like an anarchist. Now you just need to take the further step of opposing the little government gods who enact and impose their will on everyone, whether those imposed upon agree to their decrees or not.

  4. And yet... if Starbucks snaps it fingers, they can change their policy. The government has actual restrictions on what it can or cannot do. I think I'll trust the one who can be voted out of power.

Keep writing jokes like that, Ginx, and you've got a career in stand-up for sure!

  6. Sorry, Ginx, it was just the biggest laugh I've had all day, I mean, I was really laughing uncontrollably.

I don't know what I found so funny about your comment, though, considering that in the last election in 2008 we proved you right.

  7. Yea-- We are only>Governed by our Consent, or so it was before Nancy Dictator, and Harry Tyrant, and Obama/Chavez-Ruling against the consent of the People.
All polls have a 60% against Health Care, Cap and Trade, and Government Motors; which by the way breaks all contract laws. Thus should bring Impeachment charges immediately!
