I agree that it was a matter of taste. Not a huge fan of Gilbert, but I love that Duck. Not the insurance company, but the Duck. My nickname is Ducky and for a very long time people would call out to me "Aflack" as a hello just to bust my chops.
He was the voice of the Duck so I grew fond of him in that aspect. I understand he was under contract, but seriously, it was poor timing and bad taste. Give Gilbert a break.
