Blogger Spam Filter Finally Kicks In

For those of you who have Blogspot.com blogs with Google's Blogger, you know that some months back they added a comment spam filter feature. Trouble was, it didn't seem to work. I would mark the same comments over and over as spam, and they would still make it through. It looked as if it was just another pointless promise from Blogger that didn't pan out.

So, I did what I could. I found a way to ban particular Blogger profiles from commenting. It works well enough, but because it won't allow bans based on IP addresses (like other commenting systems), psycho commenters like one DM the Nostradamus Nut can simply create infinite numbers of new Blogger profiles/accounts (which is what DM has been doing) to get around it. That's why I'm pleased to announce that it looks like the spam filter is now working.

Yesterday there were 5 "comments" by the thing calling itself DM (AKA David Mabus/Dennis Markuze) and all 5 ended up marked by Blogger as spam! Not one got through! DM, though, didn't know what was happening. It thought I had turned comment moderation on! Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Here's some highlights from Mr Insane:

keep that comment moderation on, you little idiot...

Oh, that's a good one, DM!

Then there was this:

nikk

we are going to make you a martyr for atheism!

I'm not a "martyr" for anything, Dumbass McFail! The thing is, DM doesn't bother with checking whether or not the victims of his vandalism are really atheists or not. He spams Christian and theist blogs as well. I could make a public confession that I now believe in God and it wouldn't matter, he'd keep leaving the same inane, pointless BS regardless.

poor little confused nikkolas

now we are going to bury you,

DM means he'll leave more of his spam idiocy, but since it doesn't look like much if any of it will get through, I'm not too concerned about it. And DM, stop pounding that shoe and put it back on your foot; Nikita Khrushchev is rolling over in his Communist grave.

If the post you are commenting on is more than 30 days old, your comment will have to await approval before being published. Rest assured, however, that as long as it is not spam, it will be published in due time.
