A Mother's Day Message from the NORML Women's Alliance

On Mother’s Day we celebrate and honor those who gave us life. However, as a mother, every day I am reminded of a terrible war that is destroying the fabric of our families and putting our children at risk. It is the so-called War on Drugs. It happens all around us and is primarily a war on cannabis consumers. Today I hope that mothers will join me in advocating for a cease fire in the war on cannabis consumers.

A Mother's Day Message

  1. How is it putting our children at risk?

Also, is this a war on drugs, or a war on marijuana? Is it about other drugs too?

I also find it strange that out of all the issues in the world, and on Mother's Day, you bring up pot? I thought this post was going to be about abortion or something.

Oh, there are numerous ways. The current laws make drug dealing economically attractive, for example, leading some young people into a life that could send them to prison. There are also many instances where a child's parent is arrested for drug possession/use and taken from that child's life. The state and its evil, draconian laws put everyone at risk, of course, but I have no problem saying it's also about the children, since the state uses that all the time to justify its tyranny. Why not throw it back in the state's face?

End the drug war and we have a better world, and a better world is better, naturally, for children.

I didn't bring it up, NORML brought it up. I just posted their video. And why shouldn't I? The so-called "war on drugs" is one of the most vile, evil things the US government wastes taxpayer dollars on, and I will use any opportunity to present the opposing side, the side of liberty.
