Marijuana and Cancer

No, not what you're probably thinking. This is about pot as a possible treatment for cancer. The insane Federal Government (Criminal Gang) continues its insane war on drugs, including medical marijuana. Yet, stories continue to pour in about the medicinal benefits of marijuana.

Here's a story about a boy with brain cancer who has apparently recovered from his illness after receiving marijuana:

A desperate father whose son was suffering from a life-threatening brain tumour has revealed he gave him cannabis oil to ease his pain. And he has now apparently made a full recovery.

...

His distraught parents were repeatedly told he was likely to succumb to the illness because the condition was so bad.

After one bout of high-dose chemotherapy, Cash was so weak he could not lift his head and was too sick to eat any solid food for 40 days.

It was at this point that Mr Hyde decided to take action and go down the route of medical marijuana to try to help his young son.

Now, this next part of the story I particularly like, because it's an example of ordinary people defying authority and taking action to do what's right, even when it must be done secretly and without any approval of the"experts". Sometimes you have to take the initiative, and not wait for an okay (which you may never receive). When need more of that, but instead the vast majority behave like the easily controlled and programed sheeple that they are...

Cash's doctors refused to even discuss the option but his father went and sought authorisation elsewhere and then secretly administered it through his son's feeding tube.

He also told doctors to stop giving Cash the cocktail of anti-nausea drugs he had been taking - although he never told them what he was doing.

We're told that we need to have more and more laws at the Federal level, that the central government knows what's best for over 300 million people (that's what is certainly implied when we override state laws and place yet more areas of our lives under Federal law). It's insanity, but the media (and often the public with the idiotic refrain "there outta be a law") continue to enable the craziness and downright evil emanating constantly from Washington, D.C.

Whether it's lawn darts, light bulbs, what kind of washing machine we can own in our own homes, TSA porno-scanner tyranny (possibly about to be defied and nullified in the great state of Texas, see here) or the dangerous and criminal war on drugs (actually on a war on the American people by their own government) it's increasing clear that we must take steps to defy federal authority and tell the criminal gang in the terrorism capital of the world (the US government is the world's biggest, most dangerous terrorist organization) to go to hell. They have no love or compassion, not an ounce of sympathy for you or your family or your individual rights and needs.

The US federal government does not recognise the legality of using the drug for medical reasons and frequently clashes with states over the issue.

Mr Hyde told KXLY: 'It's very controversial, it's very scary. But, there's nothing more scary than losing your child.'

The active ingredient in marijuana cuts tumor growth in common lung cancer in half and significantly reduces the ability of the cancer to spread, say researchers at Harvard University who tested the chemical in both lab and mouse studies.

  1. I remember reading about "medicinal marijuana" on wikipedia and that apparently there really isn't a lot of "proof" for it's medicinal "cures", and that some of the things it does do, other drugs can do.

  2. Yes, Wallflower, that's possible, but I do think there is evidence for many medical benefits. And, can those "other drugs" (probably patent medicines from Big Pharma) do the same things as well as marijuana?

I might post some more details on medical marijuana soon (if I have time). Of course, I hope I don't need to point out that I think drugs should be legal for any reason, including personal, recreational use (not that I advocate their use for that reason, any more than I advocate the use of alcohol for wild, uninhibited partying, not matter how much damn fun that is).

    Thanks for the comment.

  3. And also.. from the same article about marijuana cutting tumour growth:

"Preet says much work is needed to clarify the pathway by which THC functions, and cautions that some animal studies have shown that THC can stimulate some cancers."

  4. We do need to cautious about all claims and weigh all the evidence, so I do understand the points you're making...

I've never touted pot as a cure-all or accepted every wild or anecdotal claim about it's medical benefits, however, I think it does have legitimate medical uses, and the research into its possible uses and the treatment of patients should be allowed to go forward without the state's interference.
