The CIA: Obama's New War Machine?

President Obama's decision to place David Petraeus - the architect of the current strategy in Afghanistan - at the helm of the CIA is a troubling sign of the President's intention to revamp the agency to be far more militaristic.

That way the executive branch is able to launch military operations without approval from Congress.
ReplyDeleteThe irony is... the only military actions which haven't been humiliating failures in the previous two decades were not approved by congress. Desert Storm, Haiti, and Bosnia were all performed without Congressional declaration of war. Iraq and Afghanistan were approved.
