Why Anti-Environmentalism is Statist

The following is based off a comment I gave to a previous post, The Dangers of Political Environmentalism. I felt it deserved to be a post by itself.

It is disappointing that the C4SS is jumping on the right-wing Christian train with this essay arguing for (what else?) state violence to protect corporations. The rants about undermining "Western individualism" and values sound like something from Dinesh D'Souza. And anything quoting that assclown George Reisman is dead on arrival.

At the end of the day, if environmental activists decide to sabotage industrial machinery or participate in monkey wrenching, the Center for a "Stateless" Society will have to advocate state violence and imprisonment against those involved. Who is endorsing the "total state" here?

The government is already cracking down on environmentalists--FBI spying on Greenpeace, actor Mark Ruffalo added to a "terrorist watch" list for opposing fracking...this is some authoritarian shit! These are the inevitable consequences of state coercion being used to uphold the anti-environmental views of so-called "libertarians." C4SS is siding with the Feds they claim to hate. Sad.

  1. It shouldn't surprise people that the government bought by the very companies polluting our environment is fundamentally opposed to any real pro-environmental action. What I can't fathom is why low-level peons who don't profit from industry's unwillingness to clean up are so militantly against environmentalism.

Oh right, because people are gullible fools. I sometimes forget...

Not all you oppose fit this description just as not all left leaning political individuals fit the “retarded” label so many deserve.

Both right and left and even some of the libertarians...

Some of the “libertarian” yuppie college puke “party republicans” who want to smoke dope and protect their corporate shenanigans possibly.

  3. Shouldn’t this be titled “Why support for corporate mercantilism is statist” as the issue is one of responsibility and how that responsibility is skirted by the oligarchy via political puppet whores and complicit MSM.

And your solution is more government? If they are being paid off, then the solution is to declaw them, not sharpen the claws.
