Newt Gringrich calls Julian Assange an "enemy combatant"

Once a totalitarian, always a totalitarian. The contempt conservatives have for habeas corpus and the rule of law is terrifying, to the point where they have quite literally "morphed into brownshirts" (to quote Paul Craig Roberts). They are not merely stupid, but evil and satanic. It is their kind of thinking that has put so many of the world's citizens under brutal dictatorships.
