Watching the official trailer, I get the feeling that not even Lucasfilm is convinced that a third dimension is going to improve The Phantom Menace.-How the Phantom Menace 3D Trailer Really Improves Episode I
I can't imagine anyone wanting to return to a theater to see this clunker. Once was enough (I saw it on its initial release) and wouldn't want to view it on the big screen again (perhaps I'd watch the DVD one more time, if I ran out of anything else to watch) in 2D or 3D. Besides, I don't even like 3D when it's a film I want to see, and if I movie I want to see has a 2D version, I'll go out of my way to choose that option over the pointless 3D one. I want to be told a story in a dark theater, idiots, not be assaulted with your stupid gimmicks!
More often than not, the 3D versions of huge blockbusters are failing to generate the cash the 2D versions are pulling in.-2D Versions of Films Are Out-Performing Their Pricey 3D Counterparts
