If I was a filmmaker, I would make some really scary movies. I mean, even people immune to being frightened by movies would shit their pants. I don't know why there aren't better horror films being made, truly horrifying ones. I don't mean gore, that's been done to death. I mean something to scare the pants off an audience. I have the ideas, and if I only had the means to translate to motion pictures...
For example, my epic unproduced screenplay,
The Halloween Duck, which I got the idea for from
Howard the Duck (the movie, not the comic book). Now if that's not scary, I don't know what is.

The Shining is one of my favorites, though I've never been able to put a finger on exactly why. It really was a failed attempt to make an epic horror film.
