In order to simulate various flavors in processed foods, some food manufacturers are actually using aborted fetal cells to test and produce these artificial chemical enhancers that millions of Americans consume every single day. Concerned about the ethical and moral implications of such a process, Oklahoma Senator Ralph Shortey has introduced new legislation to prohibit this practice from occurring in his home state.

"There is a potential that there are companies that are using aborted human babies in their research and development of basically enhancing flavor for artificial flavors," Sen. Shortey is quoted as saying by KRMG News Talk Radio. Political Packrat says...
Just when you thought the GOP could not get any crazier, its ignorance and paranoia have reached new heights. Oklahoma State Senator, Ralph Shortey, has introduced a bill into the Oklahoma State Legislature banning the use of aborted human fetuses in the production of food for human consumption. Yes that's right-- the inmates are now officially running the asylum.-Oklahoma GOP Lawmaker Wants To Ban Using Aborted Fetuses as Flavor Enhancer in Human Food. WTF?
But, the inmates have been running the asylum for a long time now, haven't they? I mean, it's nothing new (and I'm talking about both parties, which are really one party, but that's a subject for another time).
Ahhhh Skeptical one-- thanks for quoting my post on this wild and crazy guy ( I guess if your last name is " Shortey" you have to do something to make yourself appear tall:-))). I'm very flattered and ,as usual, totally on the same page with you. I'll be interested to read that post about both parties really being one party etc. etc. and ready to throw in my two cents. I never used to be much on conspiracy theories, but scary times make for scary thoughts on every side of the aisle.
