Assaults with guns up 28%!

Home invasions up 21%!

    As you like quotes; here's one:

    There are lies, damned lies and statistics!

    The crime rates in Austrailia may have shot up, but I'll bet you three things...

    1 - they are related to the global recession
    2 - they are related to the immigration due to the boom in mining and the opening of the new Ghan railway
    3 - they are - relative to yours - thousands of deaths per 10,000-head lower!

    Get real;

    The citizens of Western-style democracies with strict gun-control laws don't die from guns like Americans (ask a Canadian!).

    The citizens of Western-style democracies with a mature attitude to guns and mass gun ownership don't die from guns like Americans (ask a Swiss!).
