More and more, I am finding stories produced by the mainstream media where the headline doesn’t jibe with the actual story that follows. A USA Today (newspaper) story from the “Money” section yesterday is a great example of what I am talking about. The headline read “Rising home sales point to a recovery.” On the very next line, just under the headline, the sub-headline read “ Prices expected to keep falling 5% to 7% this year.” So we have a recovery but prices are falling? What kind of a recovery is that?

Oh, screw the New York Times, the State's faithful newspaper of propaganda. Their new "paywall" will most likely bomb, but whatever, it's not a permanent fix for their troubles. The Mainstream Media Will Save Us!
These two CNN pro-state shills (Kyra Phillips and John Roberts) discuss the Internet's "wild west" Dark Side (Ooooh Scary!) "all the time". And no wonder they do, because the freedom of the Internet threatens the very foundations of the State that supports the Statist media that has provided such shills with such a good living for so long. No mention of the "dark side" of the regime "news" organizations, though, like spreading the State's lies about the need for an attack and invasion of Iraq (that led to the death of tens of thousands of civilians).
And Kyra sure is a supporter of the State and all its glorious wars of "liberation". As Glenn Greenwald writes:

Yes, it's "crazy" to give credibility to bloggers, but not journalists like former National Public Radio producer Sarah Spitz, who said of Rush Limbaugh that she would "Laugh loudly like a maniac and watch his eyes bug out" while watching him die and that she "never knew I had this much hate in me. But he deserves it."
I guess we can trust her and other mainstream media figures to give us honest, objective reporting, unlike the world of bloggers where, in the words of Roberts "anyone's enemy can take something nasty and post it".

Kathleen "Lying Pro-State Troll" Parker was on CBS Face The Nation this week, spewing hatred for the Tea Party movement and calling Internet Journalism terrorism (well, "sort of").
So statist shill (earns her living supporting the Regime) and mainstream media whore Parker doesn't like that that nasty newfangled anti-state medium the Internet escapes the pro-state filtering that dying dead-tree "journalism" (her columns are syndicated by the Washington Post) imposes on the "news".
Pro-state liar and Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer seems to agree, and decries the "anonymity" of the Internet and that it has no "editor".
“Some of this really nasty rhetoric that shows up on the Internet….the only vehicle to deliver news that has no editor….And that is the added factor to the volatility of this stuff and where it goes.”
Oh, yes, Bob, yes, preach that pro-state troll gospel! Kathleen Parker responds:
“It’s, sort of, like terrorism. You know, we don’t know where to aim our bombs, so we can’t go after a country because there are – you know, there’s no one place to focus on it. And it’s the same thing with – with the Internet. You can’t really – you don’t know who to go after.”
Oh, did I mention that she calls herself a "conservative". Doncha just love the lapdog media? At least, like the dinosaurs before them, they are becoming extinct.
