The Mind Behind You

I don't put too much stock in NDEs (Near Death Experiences), if only because there may be explanations for them having to do with brain activity rather than actual views into what my dad called "The other side", or actually being "out of body" instead of having a very vivid sensation of being out of your body actually that takes place entirely inside your brain. However, they are interesting, and I believe some of them are challenging to explain in purely "scientific" terms. And I could be wrong about that, too. Nevertheless, I will from time to time post videos about them. I don't know the answers, but I ask the questions.

The greatest sense I get of our hope for immortality is not "evidence" such as OBE or NDE experiences, but our existence now. To be conscious and living is pretty amazing in itself. There is no direct evidence that we survive death, but that doesn't mean there is no good reason to suppose that we do. If "you" are alive now, surely God can keep you alive after your life here is over. Oh, but what if there is no God? I'm almost completely convinced that the Universe and life are all the proof we need. If an intelligence, an eternal mind is responsible for us being here, it doesn't prove we live again, but it sure supports the hope that we will.
