Is there no freedom of musical choice in the US armed forces? US Army posts in VA have been putting on a series of so-called Spiritual Fitness Concerts. But "spiritual fitness" is merely the military's new term for promoting evangelical Christianity. Religious scholar and US military veteran Jake Diliberto explained there is a strong Christian influence in the US military that goes back to the early founding of the military and today the religious right in America has very strong influence in the US national security system.
Christians in America are sick and rotten to the core, worshiping not God, but militarism and mass murder.

American Redemption
I don’t pay attention to sports anymore, but apparently Michael Vick is back in a big way this year.
I never much joined the ranks of Vick haters a few years ago when the dog fighting scandal hit. I lived in Philadelphia at the time, and I owned a cat. I remember watching her play with a mouse for over half an hour, pawing at it, pouncing at it after letting it get a few hops away, biting it and shaking it around as it squeaked. It was the best damn show I ever saw.
Is it so hard to be both an animal lover and an appreciator of blood sports?
I own two dogs, and I wouldn’t want them fighting for sport, but I don’t see what’s so criminal about the basic concept of dog fighting. If I had kids, I wouldn’t encourage them to box, but I don’t want it to be illegal. I am just able to separate the two very easily for some reason.
Do I like the idea of dogs being killed? No, but maybe if dog fighting was legal, there could be some humane regulations placed on it. I don’t know, maybe it’s awful and should be illegal, but if so, is it really something worthy of jail time?
I don’t think so, but so many people are vehemently against it and loved nothing more than cutting down a rich, over-privileged athlete that anti-Vick fever swept the nation… until he got released and started winning.
It’s a strange look into the empty void of American morality. Someone can do something that nearly everyone says is abominable, but if he plays a game very well, he’ll be forgiven.
Well, it’s good news for Mel Gibson, who will be playing pretend this year in a movie I’m frankly looking forward to seeing… when it comes on cable.

Immorality of the hell mythology and the willfully ignorant

1. Tear off plastic cover from tray.
2. Hopefully you ignored step one and only pulled back a corner.
3. Put tray in microwave
4. To know how long to heat, dig box out of the trash.
5. Let sit for 1 minute.
6. When you remember 15 minutes later, peel back cover and bite into an ice cube, or reheat it and prepare to burn the roof of your mouth, which will peel and feel like rubber for the next two days.

Atheism and Anarchism
Some people believe that there is a strong connection between atheism and Anarchism, others believe there is no such connection. Certainly it is true that Anarchist thinkers have been strongly unsympathetic to organized religion and tend to be atheists, but the reverse has not been true. Why is that? And what is the connection?
Anarchism is a position about society and undesirable structures within it (that is to say, the belief that hierarchies are unjustified). Atheism, on the other hand, is an ontological position (about the existence of gods). But if you ask atheists why they see the need to label themselves and discuss atheism, they will almost invariably answer you that Christian dogma infiltrating itself in the schools and politics is the main issue. Therefore atheism does reduce itself to a social issue to some extent.
I think the issue that links them both, therefore, is the concept of authority. Atheists reject both concepts of authority in Christianity: the authority of God over man, and the authority of organized religion against their believers and society as a whole. Anarchists merely reject other forms of authority which any individual atheist may or may not reject.
