Communist Economist on U.S. Revolution
Posted by

Too bad he's not a libertarian/anarchist communist. No, looks like he's just another statist commie. The only thing he really gets right is that a revolution is coming.

Perhaps I need to start focusing more on my survivalism/prepping/zombie blog.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I want a more just society.... I don't want it to come at the end of a gun. And this economist talks of a military backing of the dictatorship of the proletariat (see 7:30-8:00 of the video).
His ire may be just - but revolution should not come through force.
He is espousing no more than the dictatorship of the majority (which I guess is the dictatorship of the proletariat).
We have seen time and time again how this turns out in history.

He reminds me of Intelligent Design advocates.
"Capitalism is wrong, therefore my theory is right."
Yes, Capitalism brings social injustice.
But I don't want to replace one form of injustice with another.
Human beings should fundamentally be free. Replacing one dictatorship with another is not progress or liberation - it is merely another transition from tyranny to tyranny, from one form of enslavement to another.
I do not see how this man cannot see it.
"Chairman Mao once said that political power comes from the barrel of a gun. He was only partly right: power that comes from the barrel of a gun can be effective only for a short time. In the end, people's love for truth, justice, freedom, and democracy will triumph."
