I'm fairly confident Rand will run at some point, and he should have a much better chance of being taken seriously after this pack of Republican relics dies off and the young crop of libertarians become more politically mainstream.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02504734487692109101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-542518648627849085.post-30308580171790030322012-02-05T05:38:40.360-07:002012-02-05T05:38:40.360-07:00Ron Paul wouldn't mind winning the nomination,...Ron Paul wouldn't mind winning the nomination, but I think he's realistic about his chances. He wants to spread ideas and create a base of support for libertarianism (which he sees as true conservatism) within the GOP. Which is why it's virtually certain he won't launch a third-party run this year, despite his coyness when answering inquires about that possibility.

He also doesn't want to harm the future of his son, Rand, within the party, because we can count on a Rand Paul run for President at some point down the road.Nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09991410496107221875noreply@blogger.com
